Hello everyone! Peachy here! I think I might know a few of you here already. I certainly know Lurkalot (Mick) and probably some others.
I've got a small photography studio in Aylesbury which I run with my three daughters and the help of a couple of 2 other girls. It might sound as if we're a big company but everyone is part time except me and I look after the grandkids on my day off too! Hard work for a 59 year old. :D We opened 18 months ago and it's still going but it's bloody hard work and we're not making a fortune by any means. In fact I'm not taking a salary yet.
We do mainly kids and family photoshoots and a few weddings a year. I love and hate it in equal measures throughout the year. Lol
Hi Andy (we do still call you that, don't we?) :)
Great to see you posting here at last. I was wondering what happened to you all. I noticed Keith also signed up today. You should recognise some of the faces here from various sites, namely DCM.
Hope you hang around and join in on here, we have a great bunch of members, all friendly so far. ;)
Any questions regarding the site, just shout.

Hi PeachyPics and welcome.
Hi Peachy,
I was called that many moons ago :2funny:
Yep I still answer to Andy or Andrea or Peachy. :-) I've missed having a forum to visit and waste loads of time on... Yay! Bring it on.
So what's been happening with everyone else?
Not sure where everyone from Joe's site disappeared to, but I know one or two of them are here, Jonathan, Simon (aka Digery doo, or hairy git) Yourself, and Keith (slimboy)has just signed up. There might be others, but all these different user names I get confused. There's a lot of members from the old DCM site here too.
Not sure what happened to Joe, I haven't seen him around anywhere.
Welcome Peachy!
Good evening Andy...or as it's nearly the weekend...Andrea.
Graham.
I've kept up with Joe via Facebook. He still has the Focus forum I think and his wife Sam has recently bought a new one so the yellow peril is no more. :-) I don't see much about photography now but he's probably posting elsewhere.
Trying to remember some other names from the old days. Stu is on FB too.
<Scratches head> now who else was there?.....
Hi Peachy,
Welcome. I'm a refugee from the old DCM site (now PR, soon to be DCM something again).
I think it was Mick who said the members here are (still) friendly. They're definitely more adult about things, than elsewhere and don't blow up, if someone happens to have a different opinion on something.
I'm still relatively new here, and haven't quite found my feet yet. At my age (plus four, compared to you) it sometimes takes a while!
Reinardina.
Hi Peachy,welcome aboard.

Hello again :D :2funny: ;D
Andy. I'm watching you on the telly now. :o
BBC Two - Alex Polizzi - The Fixer
Andy, I found the program really interesting. If anyone missed it, http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01qyqcb
Also liking the new name, Peach Lane Studios. http://www.peachlanestudios.co.uk/

Welcome to CC, I've just caught the end of your program, must go back and watch it all :)
Hello everyone! I'm knac... Tired now, will reply properly tomorrow. :)
Andy
Congratulations on the success - and a brilliant advert for you all. Peach Lane sounds as good as Park Lane and most folk know about monopoly; brilliant re branding can be worth ever penny ;)
Hope your team success continues

Nice one, you finally managed to log in. Not sure why the site was playing up for you on your iPad, but at least you got here.
So, now we want to know all about your experience, what was it like being put through the mangle? Alex Polizzi, doesn't appear to hold back. :o And fancy them giving you a Canon to shoot with, that must been the hardest part for you, lol.. :D
Had a look on IPlayer. Interesting and informative and should raise a lot of questions for those that want to make a living from photography.
It's certainly marketing and PR lead, how many times do you have a look at professional web sites and read the blurb about the photographer and the business. Unsubstantiated claims that are made as to the reputation of the photographer and a client list that is a bit 'iffey'!
That's one thing Ms Polizzi didn't suggest, a client list. (or did I miss it?)
Good luck, Andy best wishes to your endeavours.
No she didn't mention a client list as such or if she did I've forgotten. :)
It was the most exhausting stressful thing I've ever done. :D

You could of course head the list with one
Alex Polizzi!
