Don't know if this will catch on, but, I'm not angry, or bemused and I'm definitely not happy.
A couple of months back a friend contacted me, trying to recruit me into this private computer forensics firm. I agreed to meet the owner and after some discussion, hired on to work part-time.
I worked a couple of cases initially, but have had no work since mid July. The owner is keeping his contracts close to his vest. So close that I think he doesn't have any but won't admit it. What's frustrated me is, he's contacted me twice by email saying he has a long term project and wants to "chat". Twice I've said, I'm available to chat, please give me some details so I know what's what. He doesn't acknowledge the emails, hasn't called and he's not providing me with even an inclining of the prospective job.
While it's my own fault, I've kind of put my life on hold waiting for these jobs and they're not coming. I haven't taken any pics in weeks because I've been immersing myself in all these computer forensic books and software. I've been out of the game for about 7 yrs. and as we all know 7 yrs. in computers is a lifetime.

Yes, and it's still used in the business today.
