Just mooching about on the web and I came across this which may bring a bit of enlightenment to those of you who put a uv filter on the front of your lens. I know it's extreme ( and they say that tbf) but it does go to show, you get what you pay for!

I don't use a filter as tests I did wayyy back showed me that even a goodfilter affected image quality, I do have to be very carefull but I think its worth it.

By the time you put all those filters on it would be dark!  :2funny:

Interesting and reassuring just how much detail still came through, seeing as I always have a UV stuck on the front of my macro lenses (too much pushing through undergrowth to rely on just the lens hoods) - all my other lenses are naked (apart from occasional CP or ND Fader use!) but always with lens hoods

Actually, you'd have to start the day before with the filters then shoot the next day!  ;D
