this'll make it interesting - wonder how many will enter?
Will it also get some new members?
I'm tempted to enter, for the sake of entering, but i know several on this site and others who would be more deserving recipients of that prize...
Oh yeah, and i will spread the word about...

Thanks Irv, but I'll take no credit for that part, it was Howard's (Hinfrance's) handy work. ;)

Thanks Mick, I've changed the photo's album
Entry submitted and added to the correct gallery (i think). My shoots next weekend involve people, and mainly young ladies, so nothing really suitable gonna come from them ::)
Some interesting stuff entered thus far - probably plenty more sitting on peoples hard drives 'waiting for something better" to come along...

lol.. Mark, it wasn't in bold until you asked about it. I thought I'd better so people could see it better. ;)
How many times are we allowed to enter? As I'm in a quandry having taken a shot of a creature I had never seen before. :legit:

Hmm, didn't think of that TBH. :uglystupid2: I was thinking one entry, but since the number of entries is pretty low. I guess we could up it to three entries per person. What does everyone else think?
3 entries is ok by me, mind you I'm struggling to get 1 worth entering.
Fine by me - better finish some of ideas off then.
QuoteThank You, "Markulous" For Reading This Post
HaHa! I didn't read it all, TBH, just your first entry - seemed to explain what was needed! But now I've finally read it all, I can go off and find another couple of shots! ;)
As i recall, there is still some time for entries to pop in.
As i said originally, i expected the entries to come in towards the end of the competition closing date.
Whether it is 1 entry per person, or more, is some thing i'm not really fussed about. It seems to be a rule tha varies from one comp to another...
Still weighing up my current entry.
works for me :D
3 is fine by me.
I'd best pick up my camera this weekend and try and find some more ideas!!
ooops wrong thread
my pleasure Mick ;D
Here's my three.

Firstly, I can only apologise for the delay in announcing the winner of the Serif competition, had a lot of stuff happening here. (long story).
Some excellent entries, and thanks to all that have taken the time and effort to do so.
And the winner is.
Markulous. With this stunning action shot,

Congratulations Mark, this is a stunning pic IMO, and worthy of the win.
Well done Mark and as already said a stunning picture
Congrats on the win Mark, a worthy picture indeed.
So question is - was this comp considered a success? Seems like it to me

Hi Andrew. Not sure if it was really, but it's a start. I realised I'm not too good at setting comps lol.., not having all the rules etc in place from the beginning. Then it kind of flopped at the end, but that was my fault. :-[
Got so much going on at the moment, what with being made a admin team member over at the coppermine site, support member over at Tinyportal support site, and support and beta tester team member over at SMF arcade, etc, etc. We are testing new versions of all the above softwares, and this has taken me away from here a bit. This will change very soon as new versions come out. ;)
Don't beat yourself up Mick.
This was a first comp where there was actually a prize - and one i suspect several members wouldn't have minded.
I think we've all been a bit distracted of late in some way or other. I still have a private shoot done over 5 weeks ago that need pics processing - as for you, well it is summer time which makes it your busy time of the year. Does Ransoms still exist - and do they put work your way? (or was it Suffolk?)
I would still like this site to replace 'you know who :D' that replaced DCM. And you do an awful lot of work to keep this site up and running so give yourself a pat on the back for actually getting a sponsored prize for a comp. Now if we could just get a memory card or printer as a prize...
Wow! Many thanks to everyone - and Mick for running the competiton
Congrats Mark, cracking shot
