Title: Need quick fix with CS
Post by: Sarasocke on September 01, 2010, 05:46:36 PM
Now my english is going to be tested here, as I'm not sure how to explain my problem.

I must have clicked on something I shouldn't as now instead of the normal lasso/paintbrush/clone/whatever symbol when I click on the tool, I just get a cross for everything when moving the cursor over the picture.

I hope someone knows what I mean ....  ???

Edit>preferences>cursors>normal should get you back. You must have hit a keyboard shortcut (of which there are zillions) by mistake. I've no idea what it might have been, but the menu fix route is the same for all photoshop apps, including elements.

I had actually found that but it didn't make any difference. I switched PS off now during dinner and just loaded it up again, everything back to normal. Weird.

Thanks anyway Howard!

If you had been doing a lot of work, it could have been a low memory problem, I have had similar problems and a restart  clears everything and it works again, even though I do have 8meg memory.

Oh, I do that on a fairly regular basis. Shutting it off and restarting works for me. Wish I knew what keys I hit to get it, so I'd learn to stop.  :-[

Well, Jonathan's just told us all - caps lock.

Could certainly be that.

I was trying to combine levels with control/shift/alt but it didn't work, don't know why about that either  :-[
