It's time to give up on crop format ;)
I have my beloved D2Xes for sale. There are 2 of them and both in similar condition. One has had the focus system repaired by Fixation (I just learned that Nikon UK send their repairs there...) and I'm not certain which it is.
30 - 40K snaps on each - there are years and years left in these cameras. They may be a generation or so behind the curve but don't forget these are pro cameras and will pretty much last you forever. I'm still getting plenty of pics in mags from them :)
And the price is going to shock you.
£500 each, £950 for the pair plus postage at cost. Or come pick them up. Of course if you can get over to Kent on a weekday you're welcome to try before you buy.
[Note: Mifsuds are offering me £900 for the pair as a trade in. So those prices above are my bottom price.]
I'll also probably have some DX lenses to clear out too so watch this space....
Thats a very good deal. If I could justify it I would take one of them off your hands.
However, Ive had the D200 just over a year and I aint mastered that yet.
I might be looking at another lens soon as I have a birthday next month.

That's a cracking price!, i am surprised they have not sold yet , i am saving pennies to go full frame (D700) else i would have snapped one up. :)
I've been searching for a Nikon D3, for DMT... and happened to mention your offer of the D2x's. After finding the Dpreview photos of what they look like, DMT's now after one of these instead (D3's are horrendously (nay... shockingly) expensive, even secondhand!).
So... is one of these D2x's still up for grabs? If so, can you keep hold of one until my compensation cheque comes through and clears?

Sure. Let's talk offline.
