Title: Elephant invasion
Post by: nickt on May 22, 2010, 08:31:24 PM
For anyone who lives in London or if you're planning to visit London, There are loads of elephant statues placed everywhere. They're at Speaker's Corner, Park Lane, Queen Mother Gate and just by the City Hall. It's all to raise awareness of the plight of the Asian elephant. They're very colourful and make for some great shots. I'll be uploading some shots soon and putting most of them on my web site.

Doing Speakers Corner tomorrow so maybe i'll get a few non white elephants in the frame as well.

Shame there's none in Canterbury. Appears i'm now doing that on Monday as the weather looks like it's going to hold off!

Yep - see what you mean about the elephants.

Interesting displays though not of any use when shooting speakers Corner.

Well worth a visit to anyone visiting the areas mentioned in the thread opener.

They're the plaques telling you where and by how much they are in danger of becoming extinct.

Sadly  :'(
