I took this photo this evening as a HDR. Was hoping to show the blossom and the evening sky against the lights of the church. I have boosted the saturation quite a bit and I can't work out if I have over done it or not. :-\

I know that its often down to personal taste, but though I would seek your thoughts.

Thanks

Looks OK to me.

If you like it that's all that matters.  ;D

Cheers Oldboy.
I do agree with what you say, but I also want other people to like my photos (mostly), and like they say, feed back is gift.

Hopefully it keeps me on the right track.

You hit the nail on the head with 'it's personal taste'. I mostly tend to like images that are not too saturated, but not always - it depends. sometimes I will try to make particular elements 'pop' by masking, rather than saturating the whole image.

So FWIW I think the sky in this one is quite a lot overdone, but the foreground is only slightly too toasty. If that makes any sense. My main gripe is that the church tower isn't vertical - OCD strikes again!

Thanks Jinky.
I thought exactly the same about the church tower so I used the rotation tool in LR and it was straight. It was matching up with the lines so I left it. But when I look at it I still think its a bit wonky.
May have another go with it.

Colour grading (Its the latest thing it seems on the block - so much so its built into the latest Lightroom)

And this may well help this image  - I'm still trying to work out exactly how to use it but it can produce some interesting results.

As it stands, this image is ok - I'm not a big fan if I'm honest - but then as Oldboy says, you aren't trying to please me, only yourself.
