An idea worth trying

I was asked to donate a prize for a raffle to raise money for our local Air Ambulance.

I took a picture I like and printed it A4, I put it into a 14x11 mount and framed it in a £5 frame.

There were only 2 prizes donated but my picture helped to raise over £170.00 for the cause.

Any one of you out there could do the same thing - it's such a simple idea and costs you almost nothing

funnily enough - i was reading about just such an idea in one of this months pro photo mags.

As you say, it seems like a simple and cheap enough idea.

I did it last year, prize money went to the local arts school as a sort of bursary for a student. Pay for art supplies and such like. Doing it again in Oct. I took one of my Flower shots and had it canvased. 14 x 16.

I'll have to see if we have enough tombola prizes for our open day in on the 12th, and see if I have anything worth framing.
