Which eye do you use with your Cameras Viewfinder?

Which eye do you use when looking through your cameras viewfinder?

You may only select up to 2 options.

Just Curious.  Which eye do you use when looking through your cameras viewfinder?

Also has anyone made the switch from right to left or vice versa, and if so why?

Maybe try this test to see if you're using the correct eye.  ;)

Right eye is what I always use - it is my dominant one I think - but might try a few tests - I did try the hole in the hands one quickly and it was inconclusive!

But right eye always feels better. But I might try the left eye and see what happens. Never had any discomfort with the "face" crunch - because I don't particularly struggle shutting the left one - or sometimes I leave it open anyway and it just seems to stop working and all I see is what's through the viewfinder.

I have always used my left eye. Maybe that's because I am left handed?

And Right footed?  ;)  Great to see you posting, happy new year.

The camera you use is suited to using left eye, or did you have to get around it in some way?  I know some struggle with various buttons and especially touch screens where they get activated by nose touching it etc.  I'm finding it quite awkward, but then I only switched to left after my cataract got so bad. Hopefully when sorted I can switch back again.

Interestingly, the R3 has a slightly extended eye piece so its further from the screen - The screen touchiness can be turned off so you can't trigger with the face - or just flip it around so its not displaying - if that makes sense.

Ooh, I've just tried the R3 with my left eye - its not not great! I'll stick with my right eye!

Right eye for me. It's my dominant eye and never really considered using the other eye.
May the Force be with you.
