CHAT THREAD FURNITURE 14th - 21st August

ABERS

This weeks theme is FURNITURE.
Not forgetting all the rooms of the house, garden, park, street and shopping mall furniture. As well as door furniture and all the accoutrement's attached to any of the above, all those handles, catches, knobs and knockers and the myriad of other attachments also known as furniture.

Should give a wide range of opportunities for record, illustration and creative interpretation either interior, exterior and detail.

Oldboy

A good choice with lots of options. I'm now off to find a good pair of knockers.  :P

Should've  mentioned all those seats in stadia around the country.  ;)

Trip to RHS Gardens Wisley this week saw plenty of garden furniture and liked the symmetry of this one. Just a litle PS to help it along. ;)

Im confused as to if we do or don't post entries in chat thread. Reinardina said it wasn't usual to do so, a few comps ago but everyone seems to do it. Whats the normal way? I haven't this time. Should I have?

Totally up to you Chris

Yes no rules on this at all - so do as you like. I usually do if I want to explain where my shots was taken or just feel it`s a little quiet on here. As you say many people do the same so matters not whether you do or do not. Personal choice.

Did I really say that? I've been posting entries in the chat thread for ages. Some people never do it, but most do.

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. I will if I am vain enough to think that a narrative on the whys and hows of the picture merit it. So as Andy says, completely up to you :)

I just followed what everybody else did.

Not very original, but very safe .   :)

I am convinced, I never  said anything about not posting images in the competition chat thread.  There must be some sort of mix up, as I think the habit started in the DCM days, and continues to flourish.

The Big Read Book Benches are placed around Birmingham as places to sit to read a book. The artwork has been designed by various schools to encourage children to read. When the event ends in September, the benches will be placed in schools, where children will be using them. This follows on from the Little Hoot and Big Hoot when owl statures were placed around Birmingham and, at the end of the project, were sold with the money going to Birmingham Children's Hospital.
