Making a DVD with photos and videos - software?

Not been around for a while and now back in here with a yet another question.

Could anyone recommend software to make DVDs with photos and short videos mixed?

Ages ago I used Magix, I think it was just photos on DVD, it was OK, but the biggest problem was that I had text in between and I wasn't able to copy and paste from Word. Then it collapsed anyway.

So then I used Premiere Elements, found it OK (I have 10). Now found that I need a later version as I have MP4 videos and they don't work. Premiere 10 will only take MP3.

So I thought I may as well get the latest version ... but which system?

Reading the comments on Amazon, Premiere isn't very sharp but MAGIX Photo Story 2014 doesn't merit many 5 star ratings either.

Any tips would be most welcome!

I have Proshow Producer which is excellent, the cheaper version Proshow gold is also very good. You can download a free trial here.

I use windows 7 built I software Windows Live movie maker and DVD maker for my wedding dvds I give as little extras for full day  bookings and it works well for me. As good as some of the programmes I used to use  / pay for  and quite straightforward to get the hang of - and free!

Thanks guys!

Has anyone had bad experience with PREL 12?
I'm in a bit of a rush (as per ...) and it would probably be a good idea to get something I'm already familiar with.
