i've taken a few photo's on myD300 in TIFF, i have tried to view them on my pc straight from the camera and with a card reader but can't, i just get " there are no files in the drive", i have since taken some in jpeg and they are ok, any ideas?

Alan,

only thing I can think of is you don't have any software installed on your PC for viewing tiff files?   Make sure you have the appropriate software installed, otherwise your PC won't see the files.

another thing to do is ensure youre using the most up to date version of the NX software which came with the cam. Also if you import into  Aperture it should open them ok (if you have it)

Aperture is a programme yes. Have you enable "all" in play back menu ?
