Not a chance of watching anything i don't like.
We have V+, so she can record 2 programs whilst watching a third.
The wife is currently unemployed following redundancy so there is no way i'm having that sort of muck on whilst i'm about.
She can watch whilst i'm not there in the other room pretending to be a photographer!

Anyone elses partner make them watch come dancing?

Lucky Derren Browns show saved me from an hour of it

I honestly can't believe that crap is back on Saturday nights again. It's tedious, dull and so beyond fake that it defies normal sensibilities. It's enough to drive you over to the porn channels where the make-up is realistic, and where the plot and the geometric proportions of the actors are closer to reality. It's a sad day when back street porn is more resemblant of reality than a dance show.

At least after 10+ seasons, they've finally cancelled big brother. I will be so glad to see the back end of these reality shows (none of which will ever appear as re-runs...so they must be bad).

ABERS

..and I'm supposed to have a grumpy side!

To arract high rating you need to appeal to the lowest common denominator, and where would all the Z rated celebrities earn a crust?

Can you imagine the delight of the judges every time a new series is announced. I wonder what a ballroom dancing judge earned before the onset of this peurile and pathetic series emerged.

GRUMP over. ::)

Grump is a valid point.

The sad thing is - some of these people actually get there lives destroyed by an appearance on these programs.

All for a few ratings and a bit of profit. Could you imagine a photography reality TV show with some past masters as judges?

You'd never pick up a camera again!

Speaking of Dragon's WAMT: Think the neighbour's cat has ate the dragonfly i have been photographing the last 2 days, or one of two.

What annoyed me? Last night I declared an electric cable on one of our aircraft to be in need of repair or replacement, after 21 years in the job I feel I have the experience and skills to know about these things.
Today, on coming into work, some jumped up little twit barely out of training had decided the wire was in good condition and had cleared the paperwork -

I did enjoy the one way chat I gave him though!!! 8)

WHICH AIRLINE DO YOU WORK FOR???????????????????????????????????????????

deetus

WAMT - well all last week actually.

Monday - no internet connection. This has happened once or twice before, usually turn off the home hub for a while then turn it back on and everythings fine. Not this time. Eventually decide to phone BT tomorrow.

Tuesday - Phone BT. The guy runs me through a few checks on my setup, still no joy. He then decides there's a major outage in my area - it'll be ok tomorrow.

Wednesday - Still not ok. Phone BT. The guy runs me through a few checks on my setup and tries to do a manual connection. No joy. He checks my line and tells me there's a fault on the line. He reports the fault on the line. Receive a text saying that a fault has been reported and they will keep in touch. Later receive a text saying an engineer is working on the fault. Later receive a call from the engineer saying that he'd fixed the fault. I asked why it was then that I still only had wireless and data lights working on my home hub. He said thats a broadband problem and that I should report it. ???

Thursday - Report my broadband problem. There's a fault on your line - no it was fixed yesterday - sorry I've just tested your line and there's a fault. Connected to another department to report the fault on my line. I'll just check the line......it's ok there's no fault. Hello left hand, right hand. I decide to try again tomorrow.

Friday - Phone BT. It's me again, what the hell is happening to my broadband internet connection? I'm sorry you are having this problem, I'll see what I can do.
Ah I see there is a major problem at your exchange. Engineers are working on it right now but it may take up to 48 hours to fix. >:( >:(

Saturday - Message from BT - everything is ok. Believe it or not......it was.

And we all lived happily everafter. ;D

Al Birmingham

Don't worry guys, your flights are safe, I'm in the RAF.
