I`m in early as I had some time on my hands after completing my decorating task early. The idea I had was easier than it`s execution but in doing this I used my Fuji app with my phone to take the image on liveview through it , with a big crop! Learned a little about rotating text / image to fit the screen.
Funnily enough my actual readings were 134 over 90 which is lower than it had been of late. Had to get a BP machine to monitor effects of tablets to reduce the high BP I`ve had all of my life. Seems now that i`m over 65 it cannot be tolerated any more. It would be OK but the readings vary greatly so no real test!

Under Pressure

Sorry, again, I won't be entering this week. We have just discovered that our water meter has been spinning gaily away despite us not using any water at the time we looked at it - we have 'used' more than 10x as much water as usual - the bill will be €4000 plus whatever the cost of finding and repairing the leak will be. Desperately trying to find some emergency assistance to get it sorted ASAP, so my day is rather full. Unlike my bank account which will be rather empty.

Crikey H, that's not good. I hope you get it sorted.
May the Force be with you.

Thanks Chris - we've made some progress, put in an insurance claim (on line, it's Sunday, France is shut), got a plumber recommendation from our neighbours and found a useful bit of consumer protection law that says the water company has to reimburse us everything over twice our usual bill because the leak isn't in the house and they didn't notify us that our consumption had rocketed. But we have to get the leak fixed within 30 days - hopefully that can be sorted. Feeling a little more sanguine, although we will still have to pay everything up front.

Oh no H. Good luck getting it sorted asap. Good job you`ve not got my blood pressure monitor!

Oldboy

That's not good Hinfrance. Hope you get it sorted quickly.

I do, of course, have a blood pressure monitor! However, my reaction to stress events is weird. Big shocks don't phase me, small things drive me nuts. We've now heard that it will be at least 2 weeks before anyone can come to sort it. We're pretty sure we know where the leak is, there was a patch of suspiciously green grass at the height of summer. With hindsight we should have investigated that a lot sooner.
