Another old discontinued lens that could be worth looking out for if you don't have the funds for an L series Canon or similar. Usual Tokina build quality - none of your flimsy plastic feel about this lens - but remarkable light for a long prime. Non removeable tripod mount but it does'nt get in the way. Can hunt a bit on things like flying birds but perfectly useable. Perhaps not the best choice if you do a lot of low light shooting or for an everyday lens - but they can be picked up quite cheaply and seem to give good results  in comparison to other similar lenses.
