Is this fair?

Is it fair? Not to my mind.
Is it legal? More than likely.
I don't use Instagram, as, most of you know, I like to keep at least ten years behind current trends.
I do however use Facebook as it's where most of my Gigpic "clients" tend to live, and it is absolutly invaluable for getting my pics to those that may be interested in them.
I do only post pics as small low res versions (and I may well now make them even smaller) and put a copyright notice on them.
Here's a link if anyone's interested.

Beaux Reflets

If I come round to reconsider uploading images to Facebook again, the © will be very dominate with a little transparency applied so the image can be seen but effectively are not reusable. At present, I have no inclination to spend more time re editing images just for that site.

ABERS

Never having heard of Instagram until now, I decided to have a look at what it's all about. Couldn't get past the opening page without registering, but reading that page it just looks like an extension of Faecebook where the majority of pictures seem to be snaps rather than photographs!  ::)

A haven for the camera phone brigade. :legit:

Just checked it out Graham, really nice pics on their mate.  No like my page button though as far as I can see.  Is that because it's a normal Facebook profile, rather than a Facebook page??  Still trying to get my head around it. http://www.facebook.com/guitaristguild  and http://www.facebook.com/cameracraniums ;)

Back to Instagram / Facebook,   It seems they are denying it was ever said now, or at least that was what I heard on the radio this morning.  ???

They are backtracking as fast as they can. They are now saying it was badly worded, but knowing how strict these terms and conditions are, my guess is they didn't expect this reaction as they tried to pull the wool over peoples eyes.  :uglystupid2:

They have blamed legal speak for the miss-interpretation (yeah, right......)

They are just testing the water IMHO - but you wait, even if this time it is back tracked, it will be back by someone else if not instagram
