What was the venue Matthew? And where did you eat?
I love Winchester, and we stay there regularly.
Did you drive all the way down?

It was in the Hotel Du Vin, as was the meal. Interior was in a fantastic "ye olde" style. The drinks were dear though, £4.50 for a bottle of beer so some of us sneaked to the pub just down the road to fill up on proper priced pints!  :D
Broke the journey up by stopping overnight in the "Boot and Shoe" Inn, Greystoke, near Penrith both heading down and back up. A nice old English pub. Had a nice time, but it great to get home. My Sister and Brother-in-law have gone to Kenya for Honeymoon with a safari too.

Love that hotel! It was the original 'Hotel du Vin,' and my husband and I spend a week there every spring, to celebrate our anniversary.
The 'cocktail bar' is indeed expensive (and tiny), but we only have our pre-dinner G&T there.

Hope your sister and brother in law will have a great time in Kenya. That's somewhere I've never been.

When we used to holiday in the Highlands, we always btoke up our journey, but friends of mine, go in one go from Southampton to Aberdeen! Madness.

Epson again! After all that bother with the head and nozzles it's telling me the ink cartridges I installed VERY RECENTLY are almost empty. I printed maybe 5 11"x14" images and of course was doing the nozzle clean thing through the software. NOT impressed. Thinking maybe convert it to a CISS operation.
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

Just read through the thread here on CISS, not very positive responses.  :'( Maybe I'll just chuck the Epson out the window and try something else. >:( Time to Google.

Based on my own experience of ciss systems I would say give it a try as I installed a ciss system in my Canon mg6250 and i am very pleased with the results

That's what I did...most satisfying!

:( :'(  It did not survive . I was actually mid gear changing down for the next junction and I guess if I had not seen it, it would have ended up splattered amix the windscreen as it seemed on a determined flight towards the car, rather than rising away; poor thing.

It is sad when such things occur and there is no possible way to avoid such situations.

Do I think of the lucky rodents, rabbits etc., it would no doubt of caught or the mewing calls as it parents rise circling in the thermal?

To date, I have killed 6 seagulls, 1 deer, 3 pheasants, 1 rabbit, 1 squirrel and a sparrow.......The sparrow met a most unfortunate end as it went head first into my front grill. When I went to look, it's back end was horizontal to the front of the car, with legs sticking out, perfect freeze frame of the position.....Animals seem to love throwing themselves in front of my car..... :uglystupid2:

I'm off to the Pyrenees again in 2 weeks and found a small split in one of the front CV boots - got to get that fixed now before I go.
