Finally getting some shots edited and posted of my trip up to London a couple of weeks ago, Abers I didn't make it to Hyde Park so couldn't tell Diane how much you love her  ;) :legit:

WMMFGT woohoo 1 more day at work then off to Devon to spend a few days with my folks, be good to see my mater and pater and see how mother is with her alzheimers at least I can give dad a break and cook a couple of meals for them, looking forward to seeing them both and hopefully the weather will be reasonable in Torquay (which does seem to have its own micro-climate compared to anywhere else in the uk) just 1 nice day for a walk on Dartmoor would be really good. And tonight is camera club night and we have the fantastic Gavin Hoey coming tonight he's a photoshop wizard so looking forward to that  :D

OH and getting a "NICE" comment on my flickr page from an ARPS at camera club for my shot of the Buick "Hood" as the yanks call it  :D :tup:

Used a film camera for the first time today.
I must admit to really enjoying my day today :tup:
Decided to buy a film camera, a couple of lenses and some other bits and pieces. I needed something to get my juices flowing again and to also slow me down and make me think before pressing the shutter.
I was getting into bad habits and using a "machine gun" style whilst out with the digi gear  :uglystupid2:
1 roll full and ready to go off for processing. Other 4 rolls in the bag awaiting the results of roll 1.

Will you miss the personal hands on developing? Although I guess you can scan and pp the shots while digital noise will be minimal in the scanning ;)

A lesson that a lot could learn Alf. Another member IrvB took up film a good few months ago and looking at his Flickr pages, he is still using it and obviously enjoying it.  :tup:

Posting his B+W Film stuff there. I think he processes his own film and scans them himself, not too sure though.

You could have knocked me over with a feather at the price you stated, is that for B+W or colour?

I have a Rollei 6X6 and all the gubbins from way back and managed to find a battery charger for it on Ebay after months of searching. I got all excited when I got it and found that the battery still held a charge, but it's been on the back-burner for some time just waiting for me to get off my backside and use it.

The camera, a Rolleiflex 6002, two lenses, an 80mm 2.8 Rolleigon and a 50mm 1.4 Distagon, a 2X converter, two backs, hand grip and a few assorted filters were the proceeds of winning one round of  SLR POTY back in the mid '80's, £1,000 of Rollei gear, which covered the body and one of the lenses.

I took it all in its Hakuba metal carrying case to a well known dealer who made me an offer for the case, but nothing else. :o I didn't bother.

So it all sits gathering dust on a shelf waiting for me to burst into life! :uglystupid2:

  The venue I do my gigpicery for have asked that I "Do" the comedy shows as well. I thought getting the necessary credentials would be a problem, I mean, why would they let a bloke in with a camera?
  In the next month or so I've got Sean Hughes, Markus Brigstocke, Ardal O'Hanlon, Stephen K Amos, Alexei Sayle, Jason Manford  (Not keen on him) and Greg Davies.
  Still waiting to hear from Ken Dodd's Diddy Men!
  Did Ed Byrne last night, what a nice bloke considering he must meet so many people fleetingly and given the fact that he was part way through a 64 night tour with barely a day off.
  He asked to hold my camera when chatting before the show, it damn near put his back out! (It did have a 300mm 2.8 nailed on the front!).  :tup:
