Not so much annoyed as disappointed and disturbed. Went away with friends to Erie Pa. where there's a state park. It's basically a 12 mile long pennisula. Supposed to have over 400 species of birds.

All I could spot were American Robins. Hundreds of them, never seen so many together actually. No waterfowl, checked the marshes and ponds. Check the lakeshore where the fishermen were. No birds. It was like a bad scifi movie. Came home late last night and check on the internet this morning. Apparently there was a massive die off last summer, due to some kind of avian botulism.  :(
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

WAMT ?
Just returned from a great day out at Whitby. On checking the shots from the D200 around a third of em are in jeg format and not raw.
The annoying part is I set the images for RAW and not jpeg so either the cam is playing up or I have messed up somewhere when changing settings for app etc  :-\

Dunno if it's the same as my Canon, but it doesn't shoot RAW in full auto.  Perhaps this is what happed to you.  ;)

No mate, I only use manual and afaik there is no full auto on the D200,
there is however different banks of settings to choose from depending on the situation and what you preset them to.
Taking longer than I thought it would getting used to this cam.

Office meeting, new boss, doesn't believe in 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'. Doesn't believe in 'routine'. Tells us all privately we're doing a great job. Tells our immediate supervisor we have too much time on our hands to sit and chat. Now we have to submit a daily 'Activity Sheet'.  >:(

Certainly did - about 4pm - after I'd already been out for a long walk under grey skies ::)

You were lucky then as it got quite dark up here and no sun!  :(
