I've reseated everything I can find, unplugged each HD in turn to see if one of them was hanging the system - but nothing.

Does it even POST? or is it DEAD DEAD. Might be the PSU has blown (I just think of it cuz I killed my last night, you can tell by the smell, burnt electric).

@krennon - as they say, when one door closes another opens. God has given everyone a gift. Think...what do you do best and what do you like to do? If they are not the same then focus on both of those 2 paths. If they are the same then focus your energies on that one path.

The rain......and the car.......

The rain because I thought seeing as I'm unemployed at the moment I would go and weed the front garden and try and stop the triffids from taking over....seriously the weeds were getting ridiculous it was beginning to look like Onslo's garden from Keeping up Appearances.........every time I went out there I managed to get about 3 weeds up then the rain would come, would stop for a few minutes then start again as soon as I went back out there......aghhhh

The Car....the Maverick (ford badged Nissan terrano) spent £650 on it last month getting it fixed...new alternator and new starter motor and a depleted bank account later.....get a call from the wife last night no clutch again....she was only about a mile from home so I drove up there (with a cup of tea for her) as she waiting for the RAC man.....no clutch/brake fluid again.....the RAC man checked it out.....turns out the hose leading to the clutch slave cylinder has got a tiny little nick in it so it has run dry....so need to replace the hose now...it will have to wait until next week but he did say it's an easy job and won't cost much....just bloody annoying having already spent out on it.....

In that case it sounds like your PSU is dead.

In that case it sounds like your PSU is dead.
