Just made a bracket to try and catch bees in flight after several failed attempts without flash, now its complete i find one of my cheap flashguns is playing up & will only fire on full power  :'(
Will post any successful shots if & when I get them.

so if it only fires on full power knock the aperture down a notch or two to compensate...
Instead of having the head fire directly forward - tilt the head and use the reflector.
Use the built in diffuser if it has one.

Just a few choices to overcome the problem...

Nice bracket though. Similar to diving strobe rigs...

Already thought about opening the aperture, it has a built white reflector so i will try that as well.

Heres the first one, i know its not a bee & its not moving but its the first thing i found. Indoors, hand held.

I made a similar set-up a few years ago worked fine when attached to the tripod, but was far too unwieldy in the field.
