Inspired by Rebecca's IOTW, get focusing close in and search for photogenic detailing on a car, motorcycle, lorry or bus. Or any other sort of powered transport.

Pictures to be taken between 00.01am Monday 4th July 2011 to 23:59 Sunday 10th July 2011 .
Pictures to be posted in the entries thread no later than 23.59pm Monday 11th July 2011.
Poll will be up Tuesday 12 July 2011. Winner to be announced Saturday 16th July 2011.

The Rules for the weekly competition are...

By entering you agree to take responsibility to
Post a topic on the Sunday following your declared win
Create an entries thread
Create a chat thread
Create a poll for that weeks comp and declare the winner on the Saturday
(if for any reason there is a problem and no subject is posted by the winner by Monday night admin will advise second place winner to post the topic asap, do the poll etc)

In case of a tie, the first entry posted wins.

Nice theme H, though my neighbours now think I'm a bit sad, wandering around my car with a camera!!!

After much thought and deliberation I'm in with this:

I said I`d set up the poll for Howard as he is away so hopefully trouble free tomorrow. I have my balloon flight (still trying from last July) booked at 6am in York tomorrow so in the unlikely event of actually getting off the ground be grateful if someone stepped in if I was late / crashed to my death etc

I've voted. I couldn't help thinking though, that none of the entries (my own included) were as attractive from a photographic point of view as Rebecca's IOTW which inspired the topic. I guess opportunities are a bit limited by having only a week's time window to take the shot in. On the other hand, the challenge that the time limit poses is good - makes us think and probably improves our photography. It's fun too....
