THIS IS THE CHAT THREAD

The ENTRIES thread is HERE

This week's challenge is IN THE PARK

Now that spring appears to have finally sprung in the northern hemisphere it would seem a good time to get the camera out and photograph your local park or gardens. If you don't have a park or public garden within easy reach please use your own patch or even window box to give us a photograph evoking the outdoors and May.

No restrictions whatsoever on PP work.

Pictures to be taken between now and Sunday 13th May 2018, 23:59, but if you find yourself at a loss in this time period, please enter something from your personal archives.
Pictures to be posted in the entries thread no later than 23:59 Monday 14th May 2018.
Poll will be up Tuesday 15th May 2018.
Winner to be announced Saturday 19th May 2018

The Rules for the weekly competition are...

By entering you agree to take responsibility to

Post a topic on the Sunday (or sooner) following your declared win
Create an entries thread
Create a chat thread
Create a poll for that weeks comp and declare the winner on the Saturday
(if for any reason there is a problem and no subject is posted by the winner by Monday night admin will advise second place winner to post the topic asap, do the poll etc)

In case of a tie, the first entry posted wins.

Oldboy

As we've got wall to wall sunshine in the next few days this, shouldn't be a problem.  8)

We have a beach which is not really a park but is the major public space in town.  I took a couple of interesting pictures in the fog the other day.  Would this meet the brief?

Beaux Reflets

Just by chance we visited a sculpture park this week and in a very natural response my daughter struck a pose on the imposing structure

The Duck Pond

The weather had been quite nice most of the week, but yesterday and today it's been a tad damp. Used my TG-4 to get this shot in the pouring rain. Managed to edit it in DXO without instigating a crash - so pleased!
