You're right, they are small and pretty consistent size wise. I didn't notice that before. And I do have the PC set up to view hidden files on that particular machine. I was sorting out another issue a month or so back and never turned it back off.
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

I turned hide files back on and sure enough I can see the photos and open them. Hmm, wonder if this fixes my printer issue.
