My D200 fell off a side table and crashed to the floor. It's shattered the data display panel cover, the display still works as does the lens but very disconcerting.  :'( :o

Sorry about that, but you can get it fixed and shouldn't be too expensive.  ;D

Graham

Is it the actual screen that's shatterd, or the clip on screen protector?
  It'll be ok, it's a Nikon!

I guess it's the screen protector, it's got a little star fracture in one corner, but all the date displays, the camera works I took it out yesterday and gave it a go.  ;D

On an up note, I've found out the Nikon's repair centre is in the Canadian HQ, which is around the corner from where wifey works. I'll just drive her to work one day and nip over the the repair place. :)

WAMT.....
Stupid b****y cyclist.....there's a hill that i have to drive down to get to work, Kingston Council in it's infinite wisdom have put speed "pillows" at the top third or so (the hill is about a mile from top to bottom) and it has a 20mph limit as there are schools at the top and near the bottom.

This suicidal cyclist this morning decided instead of sticking to one straight line either on the kerb side of the road or even in the middle so he could go through the gap between the speed pillows, no he decided it would be more fun to slalem all the way down, weaving in and out of the pillows, at one point heading towards oncoming traffic because he was on the wrong side of the road...and then nearly causing an accident because he was going to fast when someone stepped out onto a zebra crossing...causing me to do an emergency stop and nearly hit the back of him, luckily the car behind me was keeping a safe distance as well, I think he could see this cyclist was an accident waiting to happen.

He was a complete an utter idiot and if anyone deserved to end up in a tangled mess in his handlebars he did....and don't get me wrong cyclists who ride sensibly are visible and obey the rules of the road I have no problem with, alas my experience round here is that those are the minority not the majority.
