Are we talking modes of travel as opposed to documentary travel shots?
Would think this is modes Chris looking how it has been written above but then what do i know?
My first reaction/interpretation was indeed modes of travel, but ... "Travel photography" also includes images of the places you visit, different cultural things, people, you name it.
As David had to go into hospital, he may not be able to clarify it, but he also says 'be creative.' So, be creative and interpret the brief as you see fit.
As usual, as they say, the voter decides.
But then, as Jeff says, What do I know?
I think this phrase is the clue in David's post, 'travelling related shots'. This suggests Holiday shots are OK.
It strikes me that it is worded very broadly, so anything that evokes travel would seem to fit the bill. :)
I went for a combination with an old one of mine from a favourite trip featuring travel forms in Cuba. The taxis in Havanba varied. Old American cars took tourists around in the daytime at inflated prices and rammed 6/7 workers in them each morning for cheapo group drop offs to varied locations. Bikes and all manor of other forms of taxis were also on the street. The bike taxi guy seems to be looking on enviously here. I seem to have loads of shots of this taxi on various days with its number plate homage to Jimi Hendrix.

An archive shot from me - another busy visitor week chez nous - hopefully the last one for a while.
For a moment, I considered smuggling in this shot, and call it 'Water Taxi.'
As the poll wasn't up yet, I thought I might get away with it, but ... I suddenly realised David couldn't do the poll, so I did it myself, and thus, could not pretend I did not know I was too late!

Now that it is on CC, I notice it is a bit flat, so probably good I did not break the rules!
Well Done on setting up the poll. That pic reminds me of my offshore survival training days.
