Instructions for posting entries and creating the poll

Posting your entries.

Please always upload your weekly comp entries to the weekly comp album in the gallery, this will make it easier for whoever sets up the poll.  Weekly comp album can be found here, http://cameracraniums.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=283

As long as the pics are in the CC gallery, the easiest way to add these to the entry thread, is to copy the BBcode shown in the attached image at the bottom of this post.  To find this code, simply click a thumbnail, and below the intermediate pic you'll find the file info box.  It's at the bottom.  Paste this code straight into your entry post.  Done this way the pics will automatically link to the full size image when clicked.

Adding images to the poll.

Right click each pic in the entry thread / Properties and copy the image address.  These can be added to each option box as build the poll,

(Example) Code like this, entered into the option boxes.

[br]Tringle WP - Haridresser [br][br] [img]http://cameracraniums.com/gallery/albums/userpics/normal_Hairdresser_IGP6607.jpg[/img][br][br]
[br]Irv_b - Ahh! Tea Time [br][br] [img]http://cameracraniums.com/gallery/albums/userpics/normal_tea.jpg[/img][br][br]
[br]Oldboy - Busker [br][br] [img]http://cameracraniums.com/gallery/albums/userpics/normal_DSC_4842.jpg[/img][br][br]

And so on.

Note: These images in the poll won't be clickable, and are for voting purposes only.
Note: You might not see the example code when viewing this site in IE8.  Switch to compatibility mode and it will show.

Adding these instructions for setting up the poll, that Howard kindly posted in another thread.  I think this will help greatly.  Thanks Howard

1. Go to forum/international weekly comp entries and click 'new poll' (on the right hand side)
2. Enter the title and then the question 'please vote for your favourite . . '
3. Now open another browser window and tile them side by side, so you can see both
4. In the new window open weekend competition album
5. Click on the image that you are adding to the poll and select and copy the bottom BB code (BB Code full size)
5a. If the image is not in the weekly competition album, go the site home page and click on the image in the gallery previews below the Image Of The Week to see the BB code
6. Type in the image title followed by (br), in square not curved brackets; then paste the BB code followed by two more (br)s (square brackets again - this just puts a couple of blank lines in so the pictures are not all stacked up on top of each other)
7. Repeat 5. and 6. until you have all the images for the poll listed
8. Mark 'run the poll for' as 4 days
9. Click the radar button to show results after someone has voted
10. Repeat the poll question 'please vote for your favourite . . ' in the thread text box
11. Click 'post' and hope for the best :)
