Didn't know David Harper was a political advisor now? Live and learn

David Harper? Don`t believe the stories put out to defend  Cummings. He admitted it was him - "testing his eyes for driving"  :2funny: :2funny: :2funny:

Yeah he since has - odd turn of phase to use. But I get the sentiment of the logic.

Many don't like him, many will find what he did wrong and above the "law"/guidance. Personally in the same situation, I'd have done the same. And in truth anyone could/can. Its within the rules.

As for stories - I'm more concerned that the press pack around his house have broken the rules (Its not like they are in a hospital where you have to get close) and nothing is mentioned on the MSM - and frankly that alone justifies his decision.

I`ll not prolong a political discussion on here but would say in one point. No  don`t understand his logic. No  don`t think he did the right thing and having read the guidelines stringently and consulted with the HR section of my daughter`s company on trying to find a way that we could have helped her and her husband get back into work  know that it is and was not within the rules. The guidance in our case and his, if he had pursued it, was to contact the local authority in such a position who might be able to help with registered childcare suppliers before using relatives in another household in Leeds for us, never mind 250 miles away. I agree the press pack broke the rules but the difference is here he was part of the group setting those rules and expecting others to abide by them. I do wonder why I bother to observe the rules still in the light of his actions but my daughter is adamant they`ll have to carry on as they are now and not break them. Anyway - probably not the place to argue this from what was a flippant inclusion of him in the brief.

Sorry. I shouldn't have responded.  And I'll not now.  I like that this site is none political (pretty much anyway. )

I've decided pretty much to no longer look at politics for the time being as it's not doing my blood pressure any good.

I think it was summed up on one remark he made when one pressman asked him if was right what he did he replied, "I don't care". I think that speaks volumes about his attitude to the people.  >:(

Sorry - my entry is late . Completely forgot to do the one planned and then to upload one so I`ve got this. My favourite little friend granddaughter Jessica who I`ve missed so much throughout lockdown. So looking forward to my hugs and looking after her when I can again! I`ll leave it up here  for now but if anyone objects I`ll not put it in the votel later today when IO set it up. I`ll do the poll at 2pm so if anyone lese has accidentally missed the deadline perhaps they could put a shot in too by then. So until 2pm UK time.
