Printing for an exhibition

Can I ask anyone who's done exhibitions if they could give me a few ideas on where to get the best quality prints that won't send me bankrupt?  :P  I'm probably punching above my weight, but myself and a photographer friend are thinking of doing an exhibition, providing the costs aren't too high. A local business might be interested in sponsoring me in exchange for some advertising but I don't know where to get really good quality prints from.
I use Photobox for personal printing, but wondered if anyone uses them for more professional type stuff, or whether I should look at some other places?

TIA
Julie.

DCM did a review of pro printers and Loxley came out top.

I've done only one exhibition and I used Photobox. Their larger prints are excellent. I did try to use Loxley, but there were too many logistical problems (I won't go into details, but it didn't involve print quality), and I couldn't get the printing done in time. Luckily Photobox were lightening fast.

Loxley do have a fantastic range of products and are very flexible, so if you have a bit of time to get your head around their system I would definitely look there first.

I think it's very unlikely I'd believe one of their "in depth" tests about anything ;)

Loxley are known to be good for trad portraits but some wedding and especially baby photographers have had issues with their quality (really, I have no idea why this would be).

Some of the cheaper labs can actually be better now because they save money by not buggering about with enhancing your images.

If you want real quality then go to the Print Space.  But be prepared to pay for it.
