If you get out and about then you may be interested in tough hard drives. Lacie Rugged is the industry standard. But they are pricey.
But there are alternatives.
TODAY ONLY you can get a shockproof, waterproof 320GB A-Data drive for £53.
USB only and only waterproof when NOT in use but reviews look good.

Actually Maplin may be cheaper if you have one local and so don't have to pay carriage. There are Maplin discount vouchers everywhere.
