sounds like a few of us could use a stiff one.. (more carry on lines lol)
yeah the guy who shunted me was so shook up, he just kept apologising, the policeman (in the queue) was great, very helpful in moving the cars off the road.. my neck is still really giving me grief.. doc tells me something moved.. cant remember what lol
and what really annoyed me, i have had to give up my work at the rescue center, mostly due to my knee which needs replacing but apparently until i am either older or it becomes completely unusable the nhs wont fund an op.. so i am going to have to suffer til then i guess..
and i cant work out how to get back to the home page from galleries and i cant work out how to put pics up.. again! i'm sure its really obvious,.. oh i'm gonna go watch jeremy kyle.. always makes me feel better watching the scrotes argue about who's te daddy.. "out of about 5 possibles! lol what a strange lot they really are.. those poor children!

I'm trying to get on with things. The shingles are slowly getting better thank goodness. I've booked a weekend course "animal and nature photography" at a college in Frankfurt - not till November tho. Still made me feel better, just signing on.

DMT - hope you get better soon, although it doesn't sound too hopeful with your knee and the NHS. We don't seem to have that waiting problem here in Germany ... don't know why.

Have you tried the old Putarubbergloveonyourlefthandandpressthefilteragainstyourpalmwhiletwistingit trick?
You strike me as the kind of bloke who would have a rubber glove about his person! :2funny:

I have
too late now though as I also have a fuse a few cms long so both the filter and adapter are no more and I will be a few quid worse off by the days end

Oh yes! Short fuses.

The 'collectors' Pentax arrived today. Described by the seller on eBay as 'my pride and joy' and with the single word description 'used'. If this is how he treated his pride and joy I'm glad he's not looking after me.

The description should have been 'abused'. The thing was filthy, the battery door hinge is broken and the door itself held together with sellotape. The lens has a chunk out of the filter ring and the bit that isn't missing is cracked most of the way around. No lens caps, dust inside the lens and some of the coating is worn away on the front element.

The only collector who could realistically be interested in it is the one who collects the bins.

I'm a bit miffed.

And I haven't got a battery for the body yet, so I don't know if that works. The good news is that despite the damage the lens does work with the K10D and K20D and seems to have decent clarity.

Thin gruel thought after the anticipation . . .

My girlfriend decides one day to say love you loads one day via the net, the next she's been thinking about us and wants a break because it's boring as we dont do stuff like go out when I have had mentioned stuff before and so now she don't want to talk to me or visa versa till Monday

You don't know what you really miss till it's gone    :'(

TBH I don't like my chances

Chris, you're young, your're heart will mend. Takes a little time but it does. Been there, but I'm so old that I can't even remember the name of the first girlfriend that broke my heart.  ;D
And,she wasn't the last.

Just went onto Flickr to upload a picture but it's asking me to sign in, so tried the other shortcut which allows me onto my album page no problem, but no facility to upload pictures unless I go back to that logon page!  :'(

Also, signed into PR and uploaded a photo but when I went to save it, it asked me to sign in again?  :'(

Silly Billy! It was because I was on the other computer and need to log into Flickr on that machine!  :-[

Now all I need to do is remember my password!  :'(

Just wasted two hours of my life I'll never get back watching the procession that was supposed to be the Singapore F1 grand prix – why the hell do they keep putting races in cities where there is nowhere to overtake and there is another one at the end of the season  >:( >:( >:(
