Some powerful and thought provoking images here.
But I can't work out why the last one is there??

I agree.  Compared to the seriousness of the preceding images it really shows the red carpet celebrity culture to be quite bankrupt in matters of news. That said,  I still don't understand why the pisatorius trail was news (Other than to demonstrate that the disabled are just as capable of committing murder).

I remember a time when heros were people of character, ethics and substance. Now they're hero's for simply being famous or their ability to kick a ball.

Agree with you hevans. Celebrities are news, simply because they are known for something (whatever), that the paps think we're all dying to see/read about. A kiss, a divorce/wedding, a night on the tiles, with someone who earns millions kicking a football around. As long as it is not something really worthwhile, and substantial, like saving lives.

ABERS

Seems the BBC has loads of 'Pictures of the Year', another one appears today.

To be fair they have to spend the licence fee on something as it isn't the programmes!  >:(
