Seeing Peach Lane Studios appearance on the TV was inspirational and I thought it might be fun to have a Claim to Fame thread to hear about other folks successes (even if some are not directly linked to photography)

I had just sharpened a set of hedgecutter blades, and then successfully impaled my right hand on to them after the spanner slipped.  :uglystupid2:

Superglued it back together.  Seems fine now.

Does that count?

Maybe the thread should be claims to fame, period.  ;)

Not me but my Stepdaughter's claim to fame.  ;)

Her 4x grandfather was Cephas Quested, notorious first leader of the Aldington Blues smuggling gang in Kent. He was captured and after his trial at the Old Bailey in 1821 was found guilty and hung.

I went to a promotion open day in the early eighties, where the guests were invited to shoot against Pat Jennings (Spurs and Ireland goal keeper) defending a five aside goal. I scored 5 out of 6 balls and took the top prize. Always remember his massive hands and his ability to catch and hold a full size football single handed.

I sometimes wonder whether he remembers the geek wearing cowboy boots, and then think, yes he probably felt sorry for me, or was just peed off at the stupidity of performing in such an arena.  ;D

1991 Mick.  :) in the London Marathon Bordin pulled out at 20 miles, Coe finished in 2:56:20 but I beat him by 8 minutes.
