I saw a favourable review on it and the price is low.  I got one.  I have not tried it out yet but I will do so and post back my findings.

I've just received an email from Datacolor Spyder with an upgrade offer to their new Spyder 4 Pro for £85-50, probably will buy it.

That is a good deal.  I just ran the calibration.  I can see a difference.  It was pretty straight forward, install the software, plug it in, hang it over the monitor and go.  It took maybe 4 or 5 minutes to run.  On a Mac running 10.9 there is an update to download but that is minor.  Just download and install.
