I sold my Nikon 12-24mm F4 some time ago so can't help you there. Mifsuds have a used Nikon 12-24mm F4 DX lens for £499. Greys of Westminster have one for £465. If this sounds a bit much then Mifsuds have a used Tokina 11-16mm F2.8 ATX PRO Asph IF DX for £349 which had a great write up when launched.

Cheers Oldboy, it is the  AFS-G ED N I need for my d700 is it not?

The D700 is a full frame sensor but the Nikon 12-24mm F4 is a DX lens. Mine worked fine from 17mm to 24mm but below 17mm you will get shadow. You really need the Nikon 14-24mm F2.8 but at over £1,000 even for second-hand it might be too much.  :o

Grey's of Westminster have a 14-24mm f/2.8G AF-S IF-ED Zoom-Nikkor at £1099.00 or a 16mm f/2.8 Fisheye-Nikkor AIS for £585. You can also buy brand new the  16mm f/2.8D Fisheye for £619.00 which is a FX lens.
