This week take a look at all the many and various street furniture that surrounds us: road signs, railings, bollards, lamps, CCTV . . it's hard to avoid.

Take a shot of anything that you think is an enhancement or an eyesore, informative or plain stupid, minimalist or overload. Chose a single item or create a montage, it's up to you.

No restrictions on PP.

Pictures to be taken between now, 26th July 2015 and 23:59 Sunday 2nd August 2015 .
Pictures to be posted in the entries thread no later than 23.59pm Monday 3rd August 2015.
Poll will be up Tuesday 4th August 2015.
Winner to be announced Saturday 8th August 2015.

By entering you agree to take responsibility to
Post a topic on the Sunday (or sooner) following your declared win
Create an entries thread
Create a chat thread
Create a poll for that weeks comp and declare the winner on the Saturday
(if for any reason there is a problem and no subject is posted by the winner by Monday night admin will advise second place winner to post the topic asap, do the poll etc)

In case of a tie, the first entry posted wins.

What a shame this wasn't last weeks subject, as the binmen have been round and collect the various Sofas, chairs and table that had been dumped on the pavements.

Nothing from me this week; I've been out and about with the camera, and in the city centre as well, but never thought of street furniture. Sorry, too pre-occupied.

Chris, will you remove your comment from the ENTRIES box in next week's competition? I've already copied it into the chat section, but cannot remove the original.

I know that I set this one, but I haven't had a spare moment this week. The house has been full of people all week, and a lot of that time it would be fair to say has been characterised by excessive alcohol consumption and endless jam sessions, culminating in a rather epic party last night.

I should have sobered up enough to set up the poll though

That's a much better excuse than mine. I simply forgot, even though I was out with the camera, trying to shoot ghost pictures.

Sorry you didn't sell the camper.

I specifically went out for the ghosts, and actually sat on some street furniture, without remembering I had to photograph it!

At the moment I have two men taking my old kitchen apart, so not really in the mood for photography. I did have a go at ICM on Saturday evening though, and have one shot, that might do.
