Want to help out on a dangerous shoot?

'k I've asked for help here before and the response has always been fantastic.

I have a shoot in the planning stages that in theory is a little dangerous.  If it goes wrong then I or the model could be killed.  Really.  So I'm taking every possible precaution.  Anybody want to help out?  It would be fairly easy (and a little boring) and I'm afraid there's literally no chance of taking pics (except maybe a couple of BTS ones).

You'd need to be physically fit and strong enough to lift 30 kilos (lift not carry).  You'd need to be a confident swimmer though it's unlikely you'd need to swim and if you know CPR that's a definite bonus.

Shoot in Kent one weekday in July (date TBA).

I've done plenty of underwater stuff and have my advanced padi and all that, but not sure i'm really fit enough at this moment.
Oh yes, i've done CPR as well though i'm currently out of accreditation.

Underwater photography is one of the most wonderful areas of photography and what digital cameras were invented for!

St John Ambulance qualified for the past 10 years, though life guard stuff maybe not... But CPR yes... AED Level 2 too!
Loads of spare time, oh wait work hmm...

Craig it is well worth a day off work ( and a train ride)  to experience how Jonathan goes about his business, it looks like you're the most qualified. I know I really enjoyed the shoot I went on with him and picked up plenty of ideas of how to go about things - take a chance you wont regret it!

agree with Irv. If being a pro tog is what you want to be about - you sometimes have to speculate to accumulate.
You may not get to take a single photo - but it will be worth it i can assure you.
But don't expect to see the 'blad' on this shoot

'k bit of an update....

First up
Craig - cool.  I can pick you up at a nearby station if that helps - let me know.  CPR is good
Irv - be great to have you along.  If both you and Craig can make it then between you you won't be that busy but I'm very happy to have an extra person around for this - really I'm not messing about with water and electrics....

Shoot is being planned for 2nd week of July ish but there are a LOT of things to pull together here.  Especially cos I called an underwater expert today and apparently the way I want to light it isn't normal.  There may be some technical issues....

Anyway, so far I have
1. a couple of very experienced models though depending on the day we may be down to 1
2. an incredibly talented make up artist who specialises in underwater make up
3. a location
4. an untested theory about how to light it
5. a rather lovely dress.......

More news when I figure it out.

My dad won't be working that weekend either and I got photog from him so we could get the train or w.e but he can't swim and I do better without parents around aha. But Irv as backup spuds good.

I'll ask at work tonight if I can book the 2nd weekend off then and ask folks about trains and such when they are home. If it's a Sunday then even better but in guessing it's not aha, usually how these things work prob...
