Strictly speaking, I do not think these elephants are 'proper' wildlife, as they are 'working' elephants. They patrol the jungle in search of illegal activities, and they are also used to drive wild elephants away from populated areas, so reducing the risk of human death through wild elephant stampede.
The Sumatran elephant is a critically endangered species, and these at least are safe. And there are two babies in the herd, which is promising.
