Hi All

I've got a free weekend this weekend and am going to go to London on Sunday (30/01) to do a Speakers Corner shoot, if anybody else fancies it let me know and we can arrange meeting points etc, I'll be coming from Surbiton straight to Waterloo...

I'm looking at Speakjers Corner also, and was interested in your previous suggestion.

Sadly i'm at work at 14:00 so can't make it, but i'll keep my eye out in case there are any other trips...

That's no problem Andrew I'm still going to do the 20th Feb shoot as well as I want to go to the London Museum exhibition anyway, just thought as I've got a free weekend I'd take advantage of it, hope you can make the 20th Feb one.

OK this weekend didn't happen...for various reasons I didn't get up to London yesterday...however I am now planning a trip up there this coming weekend (Sun 6th Feb) as it is Chinese New Year, and having been up there before for this it could be a great show....officially it starts at 12 but it's worth getting up there earlier...limited info here http://www.londonchinatown.org/home/ and if Chinatown is a little flat or too busy we can still go to Speakers Corner...

If anyones up for it let me know I am aiming to get up to Waterloo for around 10 give or take 30 mins...

I'll pm you my mobile later (at work at the mo shouldn't really be on here  ;))

Anyone else up for this please post here and I will pm you my no. if you need/want it...I went up last year (or was it the year before can't remember now) and it was great if blooming freezing so wrap up warm and have pennies for hot drinks etc...

If I can schmooze the good lady wife, into letting me off the continuing saga of decorating the hallway stairs and landing, I'll join you guys - I will give you an update later in the week!

No problem we'll just take a raincheck on speakers corner just a shame you can't make it for the Chinese New Year celebrations but I understand work comes first...

Were you walking from Waterloo, just worried at how much walking will be involved.

Hi Sandy unfortunately yes I was planning on walking from Waterloo up the Southbank, over the Hungerford Bridge and straight on to Trafalgar Square, then walk into Chinatown from there then get the tube to Hyde Park and walk across to Speakers Corner, so there will be quite a lot of walking and standing around for a long time involved. Obviously there will be coffee breaks involved along the way at points but when I went up last year there was a LOT of walking and standing as you have to follow the processions....hopefully there will be a Dragon March as there wasn't when I went up there last time...

Let me know if you are up for it
