Finally got the humming bird at the feeder this morning:

And how many years have you been waiting? My feeder's been inplace for about 5 and so far no interest. Same thing with my butterfly feeder.  :'(
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

The hummingbird has been coming since around the time my wife put the feeder up. But she won't come if there is anyone outside, or, normally, if I am near the window. As soon as I move near the window she is off. Until this morning, when she stayed long enough for me to get off these two shots.

Nice to see a 4 page set featuring my "Future of Leeds market" images in the local North Leeds Life advertiser going to 30,000 homes in Leeds with my name/ website on it. Free half page colour advert too. Hope it will bring some business. Got on e call straight away asking me if I would do passport photos for a local but referred them to a booth in Sainsburys or said I`d do it as part of a family portrait set if they were vain.

Page 19-23 of the online version. A few odd crops on some of the images but pleased overall.

My wife makes the food for the hummingbirds, I think it's just water and sugar.

Nice shots Willy

Well I sold 3 photos to people at work today, 2 people bought my RED EYE shot which I took last year, a shot of the london eye all lit up in red for remembrance sunday grab shot from Westminstser Bridge and entered into camera club comp twice where it only scored a 7 first time and 7.5 the second time, and the other one was my shot of the old groynes taken on boxing day 2010....

A3 prints just mounted on standard antique white mount board £25.00 each....woohoo that's £75.00 towards some new kit hopefully, plus I won £20.00 in vouchers at work a while ago, and I've got about £70.00 quid in a jessops voucher so that's £165.00 towards something shiny and new, am seriously considering selling the Sony A350 kit and going for the Nikon D3200 but then I'm thinking the A350 has made me some money now and I seem to know what i'm doing with it so should I twist or stick???? Decisions decisions.....

And now i've sold some photos does that make me a pro??  :legit:

WMMFGT ?
well so far its a feel good situation.
My Nikon 16-85vr lens (5month old) has decided to stop zooming from 24-16 mm range.
Rang WEX Tuesday, Lens collected Wednesday, had email Thursday issue is being addressed.
Lets hope Nikon sort it as quick as WEX dealt with the initial enquiry/issue.

Got the lens back today
Repaired, cleaned and adjusted.
Not a bad turn around from WEX/Repair centre.

I missed a tiny very bright green butterfly (25 mm open wing span max in flight) this morning, as it was too quick in rising off the Bracken; and then a Ruby deep purple beauty (size of the small copper but more angular wings) as the dog tugged on her lead as I pressed the trigger  :'(
