   WMWFGT?
                      We've had a knackerd Bosch garden shredder in the garage for a year or so. When you run it , it sounds like it has a dry, shatterd bearing.
                      Just decided to strip it down to see if there was anything salvagable (And to make it easyer to fit in the bin!)
                      Turns out the fan thingy had slipped on the splines causing the fan blades to catch on the caseing making a noise like a high speed football rattle!
                      Slide it back in place with a bit of superglue on the spindle and its as good as new!

Thanks for the good wishes. First job went well - all processed, on a CD to post with half a dozen straight back for their urgent press release so should be in the Evening Post soon.Hope the colours printed are better than the last one I did that went in there - made me weep with the colour bleed!

I had some software installed on my work PC today. While I was out of action with the IT doing his thing, I reached across for my MacBook Pro.

I said to him 'What we should really be running here is Macs'

He quickly replied "Yes, but if we did everything would just work and I'd be out of a job!"

Yes, I was thinking that. Unlike my iMac which doesn't 'just work' and nobody on any of the bloody Mac forums ever answers my queries!!  Say what to want about Windows, post a question and there's a thousand answers.
