I did. Well, not great pictures, more of a snapshot as the gentleman had just come from a ceremony, and was quite tired.
But, yes, a real hero!

A brand new one from me.

This is George, a neighbour, who served in the Royal Navy and was one of those who kept the supply lines to Russia open.
The Arctic Convoys were living hell, by Winston Churchill described as "the most dangerous run of the war,"  yet this part of WW2 seems largely forgotten.

So tonight I'll raise a glass to George and his colleagues.
