The theory seems to be that as long as a man is a failure he is one of God's children, but that as soon as he succeeds he is taken over by the Devil. H.L Mencken.

Another win for the snow bound USA. Congratulations Ogga.

Still no snow here - it just keeps on raining, and raining, and raining . . .

Sorry to hear that Howard.  If it's any consolation, it's turned bitterly cold now.

Thanks to those who voted for me.  The snow was very heavy on the trees last week, creating some magical scenes, but I had entered a very similar shot a few weeks ago.  So this time I decided to come in close for a portrait.

I will post a new theme soon!

Ogga's was my favourite - a beautiful shot.

(We're covered in snow again, but it's horribly wet slushy stuff - mess everywhere and likely to get extremely dangerous when it freezes tonight. Not only is it far from picturesque but it discourages travel to nicer areas).

Ogga's shot got my vote. We has snow like that a few years ago and I wish we had the same this year but all we get is bloody rain and dull days.  >:(
