Lightzone.. tried it?

A friend just pointed me towards this and swears by Lightzone as a great free editor. You have to register and then get a password and are able to hit the link for a free download. seems very powerful tool for free and creates a new lightzone image without changing the original. You need to amend the output in preferences otherwise you get a very small edited image. I`ve just picked it up from here but looks interesting

Yes Paul, I had heard of this and did try it way way back when it was not open source. Thanks to your prompt I shall have a look at it again. I am pretty much settled now into ACDSee and On1 Photo RAW, with Affinity for for the really fiddly and, ahem, creative final edit if I am so inclined.

I'll let you know what I find.
