Title: Nature
Post by: Oldboy on August 29, 2012, 09:59:09 AM
I was out yesterday sitting by Swan pool waiting for something to happen when
I noticed the Terrapin on the empty Coot's nest. The Terrapin has been here for
over fifteen years.

I took some shots of the Terrapin and went and sat back down. After a short while
I noticed something else on the nest and to my surprise it was another Tarrapin
who I had never seen before.

After a short while the Coot returned to the empty nest and noticed the two Terrapins.
The Coot climb up and pecked the shell of the smaller one which climbed up and over
the top back into the water.

The Coot turned his attention to the larger Tarrapin and pecked it's leg to make it move.

Cracking series of shots and explanation. Never seen these in the wild. Wonder how many there actually are around the country.
