Graham, I think you'll find those sites that are still running are using different forum software, I believe it was the ones running VBulletin that were affected.  Anything still running VBulletin, will be updated or patched accordingly.  I have mentioned a few times that the version used on DCW, and music radar were out of date, and needed upgrading for security reasons. But did they listen, no they chose to ignore it.
