Anyone done one?

I've started. I've strong suspicion I won't get anywhere near 365, but it's worth a go:

Hi Alf

Sorry for being tardy on that one - don't often check the CC inbox due to spam.

Anyway, back to the subject - anyone done a 365?

I did 800 odd in one day! Does that count?  :2funny:

Is that money spent on camera equipment, or photos taken?    ;)

In money terms, it would be a bigger number.  :2funny: :2funny:

I've thought about doing one, just to push myself into taking photos more often and to see how or if I improve over the course of a year.  However, thinking about one is as far as I got with it  :-[  I just know that after a week I will lose motivation or get bored, which is actually quite bad.

I also wonder if I would end up taking a photo 'just because I have to', and then just rush into taking a photo of whatever is around and effectively ending up with a snapshot?  I don't want it to end up being like that and I don't want to get into that mindset...I would rather take photos of things i enjoy taking photos of, rather than having to force myself into taking a photo everyday.

I got nearly to the end of one here:

but then decided what the hell when I was poorly for a few days and was flogging myself to get a pic. Was pushed to do it by a mate who was doing one but should really have set myself a target. It worked much better when I made myself spend a few days using a specific lens as a challenge or would have been better to give myself a target for each week in terms of subject. Seen some do a self portrait a week for a year which are good to see - but not when you are not photogenic so I made myself pass on that one ;)

wow, how many different ways can you snap yourself?

Ah, just read that it's a self portrait a day - I don't do self or any other portraits of people I know for the interweb. I'm planning to do 365 awful daily shots though. I suppose I'll be in a group of one  :D

Something to do, innit?

Like life's not busy enough already  ;)

You must have a very interesting kitchen . .

I well remember the challenged days on my 365 when I would have to resort to doing a shot of the whisk or cheese grater in the kitchen when it was raining, dull or I was :)

As you get older time goes by more quickly and becomes more precious. Working on the assumption of an average exposure time of 1/100 sec. there would be another 3.65 minutes wasted. :o
Can't afford the time. Bugger it another 4 minutes gone working that out and posting it. :o
