The is a very hard question for me to answer. I'm not sure - my Grandfather was a brilliant photographer as is my Uncle - but I can't say they have directly influenced me - or perhaps they have but I've not been aware of it.

As for famous photographers, no one that I am aware of, though Lord Snowdon is a possible.

I think that the person whose work I admired and who probably influenced me (not that you'd notice) is Don Tiffney.
For those of you not familiar with Don, he used to post on the old DCM site and his web site is worth visiting.
I always found Don's compositions excellent, he certainly makes me more aware when I am shooting.
For B&W my inspiration is our very own Abers. Thanks to him I find myself looking for B&W subjects more these days, rather than just converting any old photo.  :tup:
