The three girls friends are with my three grandsons, but they lighten up an old man's life.

I'm like the old Silverback, I keep things in order and fart a lot.

I gave my first ever talk to a camera club tonight - half hour talk on macro & close-up photography then 90 mins where they could all try their hands at water droplet, product & ultra close-up photography using my gear at 3 workstations I set up.

Was quite nervous but got lots of fantastic positive feedback from everyone afterwards.

finally got back to some decent food and service that is chavishly rude and well below par.
You can only take so much "high how are?", "have a nice day" and "thanks for visiting my store, how can wee be of service for you today?", and be English with out wanting to be rude just for the hell of it.

I was starting to miss "wha ya won?", "foods cold? wa ya won me ta do?" and cutelry that still had last Sundays roast on it.

The roast encrusted knife cuts both ways. In the seventies I made a P&O cruise with a Canadian friend and she was constantly asked: "Are you okay?" All well meant and very friendly, but Bev was beginning to think she looked ill!
